Christmas Pic Challenge - Day 4 - Kermit Christmas

As most of you know I love Kermit the Frog and have quite the collection of his items. Here are a few of Kermit Christmas decorations that I have!

 

 

This hand blown ornament is the newest purchase (from target yesterday) for my collection.  I love how it matches this card I had for many years that I got when I was younger.

 

 

This is part of a 3 piece set that is from the Muppet Christmas Carol.  Kermit is Bob Cratchit & Robin is Tiny Tim

 

 

This plush figure I got many years ago from Suncoast (remember them lol)  and its freaky because he is not his usual green self

Christmas Wrapping

I've seen this done before & this year at my office we did this on two of our doors. 

Here is a picture of our office door.

 

It was so easy to do & we got all the materials (wrapping paper, ribbon & bow) at the Dollar Tree.

 

 

 

So I was inspired to this at my house as well.  The wrapping paper was something I had already & picked up the ribbon & bow at Dollar Tree so for $3.00 I got a pretty cool decoration.  Hopefully my cat won't tear it down!

Ornaments are not just for your tree.

 

 

In my house since I use a small 2 foot teal tinsel tree I don't have a lot of room to fit all of them or the are too over sized to fit on my tree.   So instead I used them to decorate my house in other ways:





I just got this colorful glass tree ornament from Pier 1 Imports the other day (thanks mom) and it stands up on its on as its own stand alone decoration

I had left over ball ornaments that I put into a glass votive holder that I then put on my end table.

Adds a nice touch to the end table with the other decorations. 

 

 I bought these decorations at walmart last year just to hang on my chandelier

 

Then used the rest to decorate this glass and as a pen holder

 

 

These Disney ornaments I got for $5 last year are too big for my tree but make a great table spread!

 

 



New Month New Challenge

I realized that its been one month since I last posted anything on here. Some of it due to being unmotivated, being sucked into the game world of candy crush saga lol (up to level 51 now! lol), and thanksgiving stuff. 

Now that its December and Christmas time I feel inspired again to post a new picture ever day until Christmas that is Christmas inspired and with some design tips as well (putting that interior design degree to use lol). 

Cuddling Cats

When I was over my brothers apt today I saw these stray cats that usually hang out by his house. It was a family of cats with two kittens, a momma cat, & a daddy cat.  The daddy cat was out hunting for some food & that momma cat was trying to keep her kitten warm by having them sit on top of her.  It was the cutest thing I've ever seen with cats!

 

 

 

Outage

Well I finally got my power back last night after coming home from using power at my mom's house.  I'm grateful to have it back & that was the only inconvenience to deal with from the storm compared to others throughout New Jersey.   I did try to make the most of it & took pics to help pass the time by! 

Tom tried to each me backgammon, but I found it boring

Then I become intrigued with the blue color of the flame

Then noticed how the taper candles made this really cool reflection in the TV screen

Here is an up close of it.

Then I discovered that our LED flashlight made a cooler rainbow X reflection on the TV screen

I've had this candle for a long time & used it more of decoration & this is the first time I burned it, I like the awesome glow it had to it.

 

 

Thank goodness for bath & body works 2 for $20 3 wick candle sale because I had good stock.  So my house smelled nice & had decent candle light.  This one is my favorite scent  - Apple Crumble

Puddles

When I was walking out of work today towards my car I saw this on the ground!

I love taking pictures of paths especially when it winds & you can't see the end of it.

This week my supermarket Pathmark had an awesome deal of canned vegetables for .37 cents limit 12.  So this week I visited the store a couple of times to build up my little stock pile.  Its not as big as ones you see on TV, but its a start!

Lucky Mileage

The title says it all!   I was lucky enough to be driving locally where I could pull over & take this shot!  Next month will be 5 years since I got my car (aka Filippo Focus) & as you can see I've been doing a lot of driving!  This car has been good to me so I'm hoping it will last a few more years!

 

 

 

 

Crafty Results

This is the result of my craft project from when I first posted about back on my take a picture post. 

I made this table using orbit gum wrappers, black craft paint, & mod podge (lots of layer of it).

 

I actually finished the table a few months ago & just forgot to post the picture!  

This was a fun project to do & makes me want to do more crafty thngs!

This is my first post i'm attempting to do from my phone.  Lately I have been hooked on instagram & taking & posting pics through there & been kinda neglating the blog, but now since I have the blog app on my phone I'll try to be better lol

Scary Advertising

For the past few months I've been passing this by everday on my way to work along route 46 in Lodi.

Usually you want your mascot advertisement to lure customers in, not steer them away lol lol

Hydrangea

This is just outside in our driveway & I wanted to capture the awesome dual color tone that this has before it fades away.  Also I took this with my camera phone & was amazed at the quality and the size of the photo which was 1.8 mb!

I was at the movie theater (AMC theater in Ridgefield Park) with my mom this morning and saw these guys crossing right in front of my path.  How cute!

In Bloom

Well its the first day of spring (& my b-day too!) so I went to the the Bergen County Zoo & was so amazed to see the cherry blossoms blooming already.  I guess with the mild winter we had it an earlier arrival.
