The title of today's blog usually refers to a Christmas song, but for me its the day when the best movie of the year comes out.......The Muppets!  So here is Kermit dressed up as a Pilgrim (that I found on eBay a few years ago) to celebrate the release lol!

Take a Picture - Day 318 - Taking it 1 Holiday at a time

Usually this time of year the Christmas decorations come in full force around town and in stores.  I was visiting my mom the other day & her town already had Christmas decorations on the street lights.  I mean its not even thanksgiving yet!

I always feel like Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday sometimes because as soon as Halloween is over & those decorations come down ( & get marked down 50%) immediately the Christmas decorations come out.

Well when I was driving on Main St in Lodi today I was shocked to find that they their street lights were decorated with Happy Thanksgiving signs with various images of turkeys (as seen in my photo), cornucopias,  & Pilgrims hats.    So I applaud Lodi for taking it one Holiday at time & not rushing the holidays!

I realized that I have not taken any fall leaves pictures yet, been on a blogging hiatus & also had some computer issues yesterday.  So luckily I had some leafy variety right outside my door!

The other day I got a flyer for the store Ulta (which is a beauty supply store) & saw this advertised & had to get it for my collection....plus I had a coupon too! 

Plus they had these cute displays as well, wonder if I can snag one from them!

I was shopping tonight in one of my favorite stores (Ikea) & noticed these vibrant rugs & how they resemble sesame street characters like Elmo, big bird etc.......well now  I know what happens to them when they retire, we get to walk all over them!

Today I went apple picking with some friends in Warwick, NY and got a lot of apples.  I never realized how many different kinds of apple there until you're there trying to pick them all! lol

Last night Tom & I went to a corn maze with my friend Laura in Sussex county.  Its now become a tradition of ours every year around this time to go and for me to wear a wig & tom to wear the afro wig, in which a lot of people ask him if that is his real hair or not!

I love coupons & freebies.  I get about 3 email newsletters a day alerting me to the latest free samples.  This is one I got from Target which was for a makeup bag, but  didn't know I would be getting all these free samples inside plus coupons which was a nice surprise!

Today's pic of the day comes from me just using my pen which lights up blue (which u can see in the bottom right) as a flash light in my kitchen & noticed how it made the Palmolive all of the sudden look like antifreeze.  The glow is also kinda fitting too since the Halloween season is upon us now!

I realized I haven't posted since day 254 (9-15-11), but been busy with stuff & getting my photos ready for my blue show at the Teaneck Library in Oct.

I was at my parents house today & when I was in my car getting ready to leave I noticed this in my rear view mirror & thought it was a person sitting there with the Jason mask on at first then I realized it was just on the headrest on its own.  Some people really get into Halloween alot!!

Tonight a friend of ours came to our house to drop of a DVD (Coming to America) that he was letting us borrow.  He also happens to work or a company that makes gum & had some boxes of gum that he was allowed to take home & let me take what I wanted.  I think this supply will last me about 6 months maybe???
